It’s been a long time since I last posted about make-up. It’s time since a lot of things are going on, especially about lip make-up! What are the new techniques? What new cosmetics to use?
Here we go:
Canmake Lip Tint Sirop

These small priced lip glosses from the Japanese cosmetic brand Canmake were launched one year ago and went very quickly sold out. They are available again since last April in many drugstores and variety stores.
The reasons for the popularity of this lip gloss:
- Even after eating or drinking, the color stays – it’s a long lasting lip gloss
- The texture is not sticky
- It’s very reasonably priced (650 yen) but effective
I checked myself and I like it lot! :

TIPs:
- I don’t have a strong pigmentation on my lips but for those who have dark lips or reddish strong pigmentation, you may want to conceal the natural color first with a concealer or foundation so that it doesn’t disturb the color of the lipstick or gloss you want to wear.
- We should use some scrubs for the lips too from time to time! A very simple and the most natural way to get rid of the dead skin cells on the lips, is to mix some honey with sugar and rub your lips with it. You can also leave for a few minutes wrapped with a film. Your lips are exfoliated and moisturized!! Try it!

The texture is indeed very fluid, watery, not sticky at all.
I used the most reddish color of the three, called “Strawberry sirop”

This is how it looks with a normal application on all over the lips. The texture is very pleasant on the lips. It’s very easily spread.

TIPs: For those who have fine or small lips and who want to make them look more glamorous, use a concealer pencil and a lip pencil from the same color or just a little darker than your lip stick/gloss, to define the contour. The concealer helps to erase some unwanted parts and the lip pencil to add some inexistant parts.
For me, my lips tend to look like pulled down, so I like to conceal the corners of my lower lip to make it look sharper and I like to make my upper lip look thicker so I use the lip pencil to add more volume!

I think it looks much different!

You can see the lower lip is more defined.

However, the more modern lip make-up style is made of graduation and not much of definition.Graduation gives a very natural effect and in the same time, gives a more 3-dimensional finish. To emphasize the graduation, you can first blot with fingers some lipstick from a strong color, just in the middle of the lips. Here I took the same kind of color: orange-red normal lipstick.

Also the long lasting effect could be noticed, although I’m not sure if it’s that obvious on the pictures…
This lip gloss has also some UV protection: SPF15, PA+. It’s important to protect your lips against UVs too, to prevent dehydration or cracked lips. For those who want to refresh your knowledge about UV, please read this.
Canmake Lip Tint Sirop, a nice reasonable product with interesting effects; I like it!

RMK, lip care color uv stick

Launched on April 28, 2800 yen
The newly launched lip sticks are a limited edition and have a good UV protection (SPF16, PA+) to confront the severe Japanese summer and some extra refreshing properties such as peppermint oil and menthol oil. They contain treatment ingredients to keep the lips moisturized. The have been so popular that some shades are already sold out.
The yellow shade changes color to a natural shade, once on the lips, according to the moisture level.
I haven’t had the chance to test them myself but the shades seem to be pretty natural and subtle.
RMK Lip Jelly Gloss

From the same Japanese cosmetic brand RMK, this line-up of lip gloss was launched last year in December and the particular shade 03 “Baby Blue” was so popular that it’s now nation wide sold out! It will be available this month again on May 20, and I can’t wait to test it myself!
