The famous Japanese cosmetics company SHISEIDO is going to launch a new series of lipsticks called “Rouge Rouge” on July 1.
The new products will be on sale, in the 230 department stores as well as on Shiseido online shop first, before being sold worldwide.
The focus of this new series is SHISEIDO’s brand identity color: red. SHISEIDO will launch in total 16 variations of the red color to fit every single woman.
Since January SHISEIDO has been working on brand innovation.
On March 1st, SHISEIDO launched the Synchro Skin Lasting liquid Foundation as their first phase of innovation.
Rouge Rouge will be their second phase.
Thanks to “SHISEIDO Vibrant Red Technology”, the company’s own color technology, they succeeded to develop a variation of red colors.
The new lipsticks have the particularity to blend well with the skin without turning dull. The texture fits perfectly the lips and therefore beautifies the total skin tone as well.
The creamy texture with nurturing ingredients improves the lips condition by a regular use.
Besides SHISEIDO’s “Rouge Rouge”, red seems to be the new trending color for the nail arts as well.
The Japanese Nailist Association announced on May 17, the trend color for fall/winter 2016: “Damp Red” such as the Japanese lacker urushi.
“Damp Red is the color that eloquently expresses Japansese art.
Stylish, voluptuous, coquettish, and noble —this inspiring color with a variety of visual presentations, according to the design and texture, will add the one-of-a-kind touch to the nails.” (source: JNA)
As the trend theme, “a-un” was chosen. — “the essence of Japanese beauty expressing the subtle rhythm of breathing, will
breathe the ultimate sense of existence into each fingertips of the urban woman”(source: JNA).
To express “a-un”, and around the dump red color, JNA created four styles: Sporty, Kawaii, Emotional and Conservative.
