Reddish eyebrow makeup in trend
Japanese makeup techniques have been very innovative recently.
After the “hangover makeup” or “ophero makeup”, consisting in placing the blush right under the eyes to create a tipsy face, the trend was then to underline eyes with pink/red liners and
powders.. Now the trend is to have slightly reddish eyebrows.
Why are reddish eyebrows trending?
Thick eyebrows are still in vogue this season. However instead of matching your eyebrows color to your hair color, the latest fashion is to have reddish eyebrows. Why? It is said that slightly red or pink eyebrows:
- help creating contrast on the face
- make the skin appear clear
- create a feminine and edgy look
How to create reddish eyebrows?
Very simple and nothing particular:
- Draw your eyebrows as usual with a brown pencil or powder
- Add some red with eyebrows powder or mascara. Below some eyebrows powder from popular cosmetic brands IPSA and Visee
RMK W Eyebrow Colors
The popular Japanese makeup brand RMK latest collection is called “The Silver Screen” and took inspiration from the nostalgic film cinema. Classical yet modern new collection includes:
- RMK Classic Film Eyes: liquid eyeshadows
- RMK Classic Film Cheeks: liquid blush
- RMK Classic Film Gloss
- RMK Nail Color EX
- RMK W Eyebrow Colors
I got this W Eyebrow Colors in “red brown” to create the latest eyebrows look.
RMK W Eyebrow Colors are double ended: one side is a mascara and the other one is a pencil. Paint your eyebrows with the mascara and then fill in the sparse area with the pencil.
I thought the pencil was pretty big but since it’s a flat brush, you can use the side to draw thin lines.
Adding just a touch of red can change completely the impression and look. I like this RMK Red Brown shade since the color is a little metallic, it does create a futuristic modern look.
